DoTheCharleston.com greatly supports these VISIONARIES, below:
A great teacher and leader, BSBI’s Rabbi Sytner, gave a recent free lecture at College of Charleston Jewish Studies Center: The Garden of Eden is not perfection for us to lounge around in – – it is a garden with plants & animals that we work to tend and take care of, so we take part in turning it into a paradise and sustaining it.
Another great lecture from another great teacher, Leader of KKBE – Rabbi Alexander, talked of the vision of planting/toiling/fostering a tree that does not bear fruit or give shade until it matures 75 years later for his kids & kids’ kids.
It all starts with our #1 need, clean sustainable nature, and then balances with civilized architecture and infrastructure:
–  CoastalConservationLeague.org –  Exec. Dir. Dana Beach, Hamilton Davis, and the whole team - you really want to meet these guys <– You will, you will, when you decide you want to Make an IMPACT, NOW! You will see them everywhere, leading the terrific work that benefits Charleston & the World with cleaner air, land, and water. We all want that – it’s a beautiful thing – and they are cool and trendy, too.
– Â Preservation Society of Charleston.org – Exec. Dir. Evan Thompson should be another in a long line of great leaders to steer the great Charleston bandwagon…
– Don’t Leave Charleston in Your Wake – Daily Updates, news, events, and facebook posts among Charleston leaders and grass roots advocates. They collaborate for reasonable open visionary plans for the redevelopment of Charleston’s waterfront including regulations on pollution, congestion, multi mega cruise ships, surface parking lots, buildings, etc.
– Â HistoricCharlestonFoundation.org – Totally proven, the world thanks you…
– Â American College of the Building Arts: Â In the Old City Jail <– you have GOT to see it to believe it. One of a kind hidden treasures. One of those “how did I get here” moments.
